Celtic Flower Earrings by III Rexes, $55
Tara Greer, a native Californian with a lifelong interest in spiritually oriented art, is the classically-trained fine artist behind the III Rexes Jewelry Line. We received the Celtic Flower Earrings with Garnet Stones in Sterling Silver from the Royal Collection. It retails for $55 and is also available with Pink Cz stones.
The earrings arrived in a signature lavender velvet pouch. It’s gift-ready so if you’re looking for a great gift, say for Valentine’s, check out the rest of their line. The Eros collection in particular is all about hearts and would be perfect for a special someone who’s a true fashionista.
Back to the review in progress, each earring has two garnet stones. The flower itself is about an inch and quarter in length and about three quarters of an inch wide. When worn, the earring dangles at less than two inches long. It’s perfectly noticeable without overpowering.
The craftsmanship is excellent and the attention to detail in the creation of the flower is obvious. It dangles beautifully, it moves well. I’ve been complimented while wearing it and have been told that when light hits the garnet, it sparkles beautifully by reflecting different colors.
It has an old world feel yet it’s right on trend, perfect fusion of old and new. It’s a piece that will not go out of style and one that can be worn dressed up or down. I’ve worn it with a track suit, jeans, dress, and yes, it's perfect for work too. A favorite of mine is to wear it with a dress with some red in it for a night out, simply gorgeous.
When I checked out the III Rexes site, I saw a photo of the designer outside a medieval-looking castle. I had to do a double take when I read the caption that the photo is at her home. Wow, no wonder her designs echo the medieval period, her home is a living inspiration!
