Hotter Than Hot Beaded Strap by Strap My Bra, $40

If you’ve been living under a rock, newsflash – decorative bra straps are all the rage!  They are the hottest new fashion accessory and we have just the place for you to get your fill.

Strap My Bra has all things decorative when it comes to this latest fashion trend.  From beaded, colored, gold, silver, and ornamented, all the sexy perfection you can muster can be found all in this one place.

Showing a regular bra strap is a fashion faux pas.  If you’re going to show your bra strap, make sure it’s a sight for sore eyes, not an eye sore.  Make the strap a part of your getup - chic and glamorous, not outdated and matronly.

We received the Hotter Than Hot Beaded Strap which retails for $40.  The beading has a honeycomb pattern and the strap is finished off with black metal hooks and adjusters.  They work with convertible bras, replacing the straps that normally come with them.

I have to admit that as much as I wanted to follow the beaded strap trend, I was quite apprehensive about purchasing one for fear of having the strap break on me and having beads popping out.  Can you imagine having that happen on a date?  How would one begin to explain beads exploding out of one’s breasts?

So when I received this beaded strap for review, I was ecstatic.  Now I can test to see if these straps really work or not.  I decided to test it out on a regular work day.  If any explosions were to occur, I would much rather have it happen in front of my computer for it can’t laugh – not yet anyway.

First, I was surprised at how comfortable it was.  I had a long day and I expected to see bead imprints on my shoulders at the end of the day, but that didn’t happen.

Second, it stayed put.  In fact, I don’t remember the straps falling off my shoulders.

Here’s the kicker.  I received my new office chair the day I was testing the strap and of course, it needed to be assembled.  I was hauling, bending, lifting, fighting with the chair, and eventually giving up – it’s not a job for one person, I needed help.  In all the exertion, I totally forgot that I was wearing a beaded strap and that can only mean one thing – there was no bead explosion!  Of course you can’t compare them to the sturdiness of elastic straps but I was impressed with how well they held up and now I’m a believer.

Aesthetically, they’re just fabulous.  Sophisticated actually – never thought I’d use that to describe bra straps but it’s true, they look refined and very, very classy.

If you’ve been hesitant about trying beaded straps, check out Strap My Bra’s wide selection.  I bet once you try one, you’ll be back for more.  They’re handmade in South Africa by previously unemployed women and a percentage of proceeds are given to help children and their families there.  That should make you feel good about buying, especially during the holiday season.  It is after all the season of giving.
