Belen Coral and Gold Nugget Bracelet by Ines del Castillo, $120

Combining the color and essence of her native Mexico with the chic style of New York where she now resides, Ines del Castillo brings eclectic cultural undertones, femininity, and unique classical style to each of her designs for which she has been lauded for.

She unveils one collection a year using the inspiration from all that is essential in her life.  Her fascination with art and travel manifests in the combination of semi-precious stones and beads used to create each piece in her collection.

We received the Belen Coral and Gold Nugget Bracelet from Ines del Castillo’s Palma de Mallorca Collection.  It retails for $120.

In a word, this bracelet is stunning.  The coral is a deep red and the nuggets are a gorgeous shimmer of gold.  The image captures the color of the coral and the gold beautifully and perfectly.  What it does not capture is the sheen from both, that makes this piece look ultra chic and fabulously upscale.

My wardrobe (clothes, shoes, jewelry) is a sea of blacks, browns, whites, grays, blues, and a very tiny sprinkling of red.  I mean that literally.  I have two red shoes out of a ton (I’m a shoe freak, what can I say), a couple of red shirts, a red jacket, and a black/red necklace in a roomful of  clothes (I also mean that literally).

In short, I’m not a red person.  I wear a sprinkling of it for some color, but to reiterate my point, I have never painted my nails red or worn red lipstick.  Probably never will.

So why did I give this bracelet top rating?  Simply because I fell in love with it.

There are different tones of red – some in the cheap, gaudy side as in… well you know what I mean.  This bracelet is on the chic, classy side as in discerningly tasteful and refined.  I wore it with one of my little black dresses paired with my red sandals, gold earrings, and a black purse.  Can you say incredibly sophisticated?  Oh yeah!

If you want to add a sprinkling of red in your life, I highly recommend this Belen bracelet.  It’s well worth the price, you will enjoy it for years to come.  It’s a classic piece that will become a permanent fixture in your closet and a staple in your wardrobe.  If you have enough red, how about some gold?  The Palma de Mallorca collection is not to miss for it is a beauty to behold.  Every piece is a study in gold - well thought out, each blending beautifully with the other.
