Passport Please by Beijo, $80
Green is the new black. Go shopping, venture on a weekend outing, or even a walk in the park in this fabulous purse. It is adorable in a metallic Forest GREEN. This bag has an adjustable strap and a silver hook in the front for closure - nice touch. It has three pockets, including that important pocket for your cell phone. Her own son, Kyle, had inspired Susan Handley, founder of Beijo. This particular bag is called “Passport Please”. It is from the Beijo by Susan Handley Signature Collection. Beijo had made this bag perfectly for any outings (Disneyland anyone?) or vacation trips (after all, it’s called passport please).
I don’t like to carry too many things. I bring the necessities that help me survive through one day. My phone, wallet, and the all important lip balm all fit into this adorable purse. I like to just have fun and hang out with friends, and not have to worry about losing things.
The cell-phone pocket of course is a life saver. I don’t have to search for it and dig deep just to answer it before the person hangs up on me. I’m usually going “Where’s my phone? I hear it, but I can’t find it!” Those times are really frustrating and hilarious at the same time.
Before green was even in, I was already a lover of it. This bag really shows the green spirit – it’s synthetic, no animals involved in the making of this bag. It’s very earthy, very simple, yet very chic.
I took my Beijo bag on a shopping/movie date with my BFF. I paired it with an ivory coat and houndstooth boots. When I was walking towards her, she was literally wordless. Her eyes were transfixed to my bag. You guessed it, she loves green, too. She adored the hook that opens and closes it.
So now that I’ve taken it on a shopping outing, what’s next is to take it to a vacation trip. San Francisco here I come! I may leave my heart there but the bag is definitely coming back with me.
