Diamond Pearl Bracelet by LRS Design, $79

Lynn Schwartzman, the creator and designer behind LRS Design creates with a purpose and that is, to design pieces that endure and remain beautiful with the passage of time, pieces to be treasured as family heirlooms, pieces that evoke memories of people, places, and events that touched one’s life.

She translates her inspirations into creations that evoke the scent of spring, warm summer days, and glimpses of the Pacific Ocean and of Tuscany. In her vintage collection, with the use of rare flower beads, she brings to mind the mysterious elegance of Europe, in the pre-war era of the 30’s.

Lynn handcrafts every piece in her collection using gemstones, pearls, and precious metals. Her current collection includes necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and hair pins, all presented in her signature gift box. Custom requests are accepted to tailor necklace lengths, earwires, or metals to your preferences.

With the beauty of her work, there is even more beauty in the effort of her design house to give back to the community by donating jewelry to schools and organizations to help in their fundraising efforts. LRS Design has helped the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and the North Shore Community College among others.

LRS Design has been featured in InStyle, Lucky, Cosmo, The Knot, Brides, Destination Weddings, and many others.

We received the diamond pearl bracelet from LRS Design’s Bracelet Collection. The piece is made out of white diamond pearls, 24k gold coated beads and 14k gold filled wire. Its length is approximately 7 ½” and closes with the 14k gold filled toggle. It retails for $79.

Before we received this piece, what attracted us to LRS Design’s Pearl Collection is the innovativeness of shapes used in the designs, the contemporary styling of the pieces, and the fusion of the pearls with a variety of gemstones.

When we think of pearls, we automatically think old. Not so with Lynn’s creations, far from it. Her pearl pieces are so chic, they appealed to our fashion senses, and we wanted to see for ourselves how lovely these creations truly are in person.

The bracelet certainly did not disappoint. What I love about it is that it’s a fusion of contrasting images. One image is that of sophistication, elegance, and class. The other image is that of an effortless laid-back style that is modern and up-to-the-minute.

I wore it to a luncheon wearing a dress similar to this strapless dress by French Connection. It was hot outside but I knew it would be cold inside with the A/C on full blast so I also brought a crop jacket like this cap sleeve jacket by Sashimi. I paired the bracelet with an heirloom pair of earrings my grandmother gave me and they were simply gorgeous together. It's wonderful to have a new piece blend so well with another one that was designed and created generations ago. I was so thrilled.

Unfortunately, with the number of times I removed and put my jacket back on as I was going back and forth between the coldness of the room inside, and the hotness of the air outside, the closure came undone, and I lost the bracelet somewhere in between. Oh well, as Tennyson once said ‘It’s better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all’. But then I remembered, wasn’t there a song about love being better the second time around? I guess I’ll just have to go get another one…
