Multi Word Wide Band Polished Ring by GK Designs, $70
Fifteen years ago, Georgianna Koulianos founded GK Designs whose fusion of fine jewelry and bold wording created a sensation in the jewelry industry. Often imitated but never equaled, Georgianna’s designs have become one of the most original and often duplicated jewelry ideas of the last two decades.
Born and raised in New York, Georgianna graduated from the Scarsdale Alternative School, where she started exploring her creative and artistic interests. Her lifelong interest in jewelry was honed at the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design, and later merged with her training in intentional word therapy to create jewelry that aims to enhance both the physical and spiritual beauty of the wearer.
From her New York studio, Georgianna hand-carves each of the letters in the wordings on her jewelry. Each is hand-assembled using only the finest materials and have been worn by celebrities such as Isabella Rossellini and Jane Fonda.

We received the Multi Word Wide Band Polished Ring from them. It is made of polished sterling silver. The band is .4 inches wide and embossed with the words ‘Hope’, ‘Joy’, ‘Dream’, ‘Spirit’, ‘Peace’, ‘Faith’, ‘Love’, and ‘Grace’. It retails for $70.
There are three things I love about this ring.
First, I am mad about its width. It’s rare to see a band that can fit 2 lines of wording with plenty of space in between. I love wearing it on my forefinger, it looks very chic.
Second, I love the attention this ring receives. I’ve lost track of the number of times I’ve had to remove it for admirers to look at.
Third, I love the words hand-carved on the ring and appreciate their meaning. Every time I slip it on my finger, a different set of words face me. As I gaze at it now, I see the words ‘Hope’, ‘Joy’, and ‘Dream’, and I can’t help but smile. How elevating it is to be reminded to be thankful for the joy in one’s heart, to trust in the hope for tomorrow, and to carry on one's dream for the future.
