Georgianna Koulianos, the founder of GK Designs is the original creator of pairing fine jewelry with uplifting words. Her work has been around for over two decades and she continues to design pieces that remain original and classy through the changing trends.
She was raised in New York and pursued her desire to create at the Rhode Island School of Design. Her original artwork of jewelry with wording has become very popular in many boutiques and well-known galleries, including Bloomingdale’s. Each of her creations is hand assembled with the finishing touch of a hand carved word that is meant to promote both physical and spiritual beauty for the wearer.
Her celebrity clients include Isabella Rossellini and Jane Fonda.
We received the 16 inch grey freshwater pearl tag charm from them. In all honesty, after wearing the necklace for just a few hours at work, I had already received quite a few compliments. The pearls have deep hues of grayish and blue tones which seem to catch the light even from across the room.
This necklace carries the sophistication of Tiffany’s with a sterling silver clasp, yet is versatile in nature with its ability to be paired for both business and casual attire. It has been a great accessory to my everyday wardrobe.
The tag charm has the word “BE” scripted on it. Though it is such a simple word, it seems to hold much depth especially in the ever-changing world of fashion.
I actually had a few people ask me what the charm meant. I thought it signified being one’s self.
