Well we haven't seen Jessica Simpson's mug around these parts lately! J.Simp was seen leaving dinner at Nobu in NYC last night, June 10, and girl was definitely not, how do I say, looking her best. With roots out to there (where are you, Ken Paves?) and looking like she did at her heaviest point, Jess has definitely come a long way from the fresh-faced America's sweetheart that we once knew her as. Simpson stepped out in a diasy-hued frock (dresses like Ella Moss' Piper Dress in Daisy, Betsey Johnson's Convertible Ruffle Dress in Gold, and Shumaq's Allison Dress in Acid Yellow are all similar), an interesting patchwork clutch, an armful of gold and silver bangles and a pair of awful shoes. Hey, I know I'm being a little harsh on J.Simp, but honestly... don't you agree? While we all know that Jess is releasing an entirely country album very soon, it is news to me that Jessica has sworn off recording pop music forever (or until her country career fails). Jess says, "I’m planning on making country (music) for the rest of my life, and I don’t want to go back to that other world. A lit of people have listened to [my new single], 'Come On Over,' and told me, ‘I really wanted to hate it, but I like it.’ (It’s) a backhanded compliment, but I’m glad it’s that way and not the other way around. I take a lot of pride in my talent and in the record I was able to put together. I’m not giving up." Such dedication!
